Tony Snow slays me. Oversight? Fuck it. Congress does not have the au-thor-i-tay (channeling Eric Cartman) to question the POTUS. As the adorable John Oliver (welcome addition to TDS) stated separately: 1) with regards to Congress "Go Fuck Themselves" and my personal fave, 2) "...Because the White House is adamant its advisors retain the right, if they so choose, to lie...without consequence."

Another TDS shout out regarding a White House "Petulant Tantrum Room".

Oh, and, regarding TB: "...limit advice to things that weren't shameful, illegal or spectacularly bull-headed..."

It has been a dizzying few weeks, has it not? You just know there is a Suggestion Box regarding "Reasons You Think We Fired the US Attorneys" and every day they pull out a new suggestions:

Harriet Miers
Pleasure of the President
Poor performance
Failing to zealously prosecute ____________ (insert specific "grievance" here)

You totally know Turdblossom (TB) wrote the Harriet one. All the super-lazy DoJ-ers and WHers wrote the standard "Serve at the pleasure of the President" and the assholes wrote "Poor Performance".

Of course, Talking Points Memo is *the* source for all of this shiznazz and spin-repellent. Gotta love Josh and crew (including regular folk like you and me) for working on this document dump, finding a "lull" in the communications, etc. I tried looking at a few docs and it is hard to know what to make of them. So many are redundant. Some (call this cynicism) look doctored to me...

What is utterly obvious is the lack of cohesive paper trail. Where is the "Fucking Lam" collection? What about the heart-wrenching Margaret M. Chiara emails about her sadness and desire to obtain the NAC position in South Carolina?

Of course, then last Friday James Knodell dropped the bombshell that the WH has yet to 0pen an internal investigation as to the leaking of classified information regarding Valerie Plame and that Karl Rove never reported to the OAC regarding his mentioning Valerie Plame, as he should have. Haven't even started an investigation that is approaching a story as long as our war in Iraq. While it is not shocking, it nonetheless dropped my jaw while tuning into C-SPAN. Don't even get me started on Ms. Victoria Toensing (although today, Firedoglake has been commenting on Waxman's assertion to check her statements for inaccuracies).

Is this a reality show? Like how bad can an average, well-to-do fuck-up tank America? How low can they go?

It also begs the question of how the frak the Rubber Stamp Congress could not do shit about SHIT? Not exercise an ounce of oversight.

Of course, I do believe aligning oneself to the Bu$hCo regime does require one to sign away their soul. (This is managed by Darth Shooter, of course).

So, we are wrapping up the 3rd month of the Democrats in control and shit storm after shit storm is the way the weather is blowing in DC.

I hope those members have invested in a lot of tarps. Because the hits are just going to keep on coming.

Raises Hand does want to know one thing: Exactly how much frakking up constitutes an impeachable offense? Lying about blow-jobs is an infantile antic in comparison to the grievances this administration has done to our laws, our Constitution, our people, our nation and other members of the planet Earth.
