MSNBC desperately wants to be Access Hollywood

Quick rant.

I tend to watch a lot of MSNBC.

It has my boy-o, Keith Olbermann. (Although I miss the Friday question and answer sessions with Monica) and another crush, Dan Abrams.

But can we please beg MSNBC to drop the "Access Hollywood" angle? I mean, listening to Norah, to Alex, to Chris talk about American Idol is sad. News, people, new. And to see Keith, Joe S and Lost-the-bow-tie *ucker Carlson talk about it on their shows...holy moly.

And the live coverage of the ANS post-death drama?

America, as demonstrated by its voting in 2000 through 2004 has already demonstrated it is stupid enough. Let the little Billy Bush inspired LA-based shows cover American Idol and you, MSNBC, please cover news.
